Growing & Maintenance:

In spring, apply balanced fertilizer according to package directions. Check soil weekly for moisture. Water thoroughly when dry. Provide adequate water until plant is dormant for the winter. Pruning rarely needed, but can be pruned to shape in early spring before new growth emerges. 3-4" mulch recommended year round to reduce weeks, conserve moisture, and protect roots in winter. No winter protection other than mulch necessary. Does not tolerate standing water.
