Growing & Maintenance:

In spring, apply balanced fertilizer according to package directions. Check soil weekly for moisture. Water thoroughly when dry. Provide adequate water until plant is dormant for the winter. Cut back to 6-12" from ground in early spring, or cut back dead wood, depending on form desired. In northern climates, apply 4-6" of mulch to protect roots in winter.
