In spring, apply balanced fertilizer for acid-loving plants according to package directions. Check soil weekly for moisture. Water thoroughly when dry. Adequate water until the ground freezes is necessary to sustain plant during the winter. Prune after blooming to remove dry seed capsules and shape if necessary. No winter protection is needed.
