Growing & Maintenance:

In spring, apply balanced fertilizer according to package directions. Check soil weekly for moisture. Water thoroughly when dry. Adequate water until ground freezes is necessary to sustain the plant during the winter. Prune annually in early summer before new needles fully develop to maintain pincushion shape. No winter protection is necessary. Good for dry areas and poor soil.
