Trees
At the Berry Family of Nurseries, we grow an array of Ornamental, Shade and Fruit Trees. When deciding which suits your needs best it is important to take the size of your space, the asthetic qualities you are looking for such as fruit, flowers, fall color, and your optimal maintenence plan into consideration. Ornamental trees are known for their beautiful spring flowers. They are excellent for accents, fragrance, and light shade. Most varieties will display colorful foliage in the fall, fruits and attractive bark. Shade trees are large and stately andknown as season definers with their fall foliage, spring and summer flowers, and winter bark. Shade trees determine the degree of light and shade in your yard and invite birds and wildlife to your space. Fruit trees are available in many varieties and ripening seasons so you can stage your harvest summer to fall. It is important to note some varieties are self fertile, while others require cross-pollination. For the sweetest fruits on the market, please look for Super Sweet Fruit Trees. Exclusive to the BFN, these trees twice as high on the Brix Sweetness Scale when compared to standard fruit trees. They also are low acid for strict dietary needs.
